I was born in the woods of western Washington. It was a stormy night and my mother was disappointed that I came so quickly. As a child I wanted to be a cowboy. I caught frogs, built forts and made waterfalls in the runoff from the endless
winter rains. The smell of mist, magic and decaying forest floors is that of home.
In the undulating breaths of days passing into seasons time proved irrelevant.
My goal as an artist is to immerse the viewer in a state of movement, of moment.
A reality of magic. To trick the viewer into watching the watcher. To say this is
here now.
I create because I have to. Because we are all light dancing with shadow.
I ask you the viewer. Will you decipher the patterns in which the Autumn leaves fall?
Will you hear the secrets of the winds breath? Will you follow me into the mist of
my memories? We shall make the forest breathe and the ocean smell of oranges!
I have spent the last two years helping remodel the old Paonia General electric
building into what is now Elsewhere Studio. I am currently living, painting and
teaching art in Elsewhere, being somewhere... where I arrive at myself, over and over again.
Elsewhere studio houses an eclectic array of creative individuals, who are
committed to the magic of transcendental living through the arts.
Silk screened clothing, prints, cards, and elixurs are available from the Elsewhere
Nook, store front. Elsewhere Studio and Nook are located in happening
down town Paonia Colorado at:
107 3rd St
Paonia Co
81428
Thanks for listening, and good night to all my dear fairy's.
P. S. I am also very interested in being sponsored as an artist, perhaps you
need a house sitter in New Zealand, Peru, or Iceland? I am very flexible....
Or a world wide treasure hunt to send a friend on, or perhaps you would like a
friends boat to be pirated?? the possibilities are endless.....
